Industrial Logistics Warehouse
Project Overview
Engineering and rapid construction of a massive 75,000 sq. ft. industrial warehouse for logistics operations. The structure utilizes Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) steel technology for maximum volume and features high-load impact-resistant industrial flooring.
Scope of Civil Works
- Civil foundation works including casting massive RCC pedestal footings and plinth beams.
- Fabrication and erection of PEB primary steel columns and portal frames.
- Installing insulated sandwich panels for roofing and side wall claddings.
- Laying heavy-duty Vacuum Dewatered Concrete Flooring (Tremix) with polyurethane finishes.
- Installing high-velocity natural turbo ventilators and industrial rainwater gutters.
Technical Challenges Faced
The project had an extremely compressed timeline of 6 months, coinciding with the peak monsoon season. Any delays in flooring compaction or steel assembly would lead to massive financial overruns for the logistics client.
Engineering Solutions Deployed
We fabricated all PEB steel members off-site in parallel with the civil foundation works. We utilized waterproof shelters over the flooring area, allowing us to pour concrete and cure it regardless of weather conditions. Tremix VDF flooring sped up the curing, allowing heavy machinery to operate within days.
